Marcia Glatman and Richard Meyers are Executive Search Consultants with a combined experience in the profession of over 60 years!

After decades of interviewing thousands of candidates, they each came to the conclusion that there are two key characteristics which define professional success:

  • The ability to manage one’s own career
  • The ability to network

Coffee & Conversation is a unique forum for executives in transition. Coffee & Conversation encourages participants to get to know one another on a very personal level, obtain practical career advice from their peers, and share knowledge and information.

Each group is small (5 or 6 participants) to maximize interaction. The structured discussions allow for self reflection as well as for career coaching.

The group meets, for two hours, once each week, for four continuous weeks. Participants are in the same profession and are at approximately the same compensation level.

The advantages of participation in Coffee & Conversation are:

  1. To meet peers who are leaders in their profession. Through guided questions, get to know one another and develop trusted relationships. The peer-to-peer, small-group networking results in vetted job leads and connections.
  2. To focus on you and your career management. To develop clarity regarding your motivations, values and goals. When you understand yourself and your professional passion, you can make the "right" job choice which will lead to tremendous personal satisfaction.
  3. To access the knowledge and insights of your colleagues which adds a fresh dimension to the discussions. There is an enormous amount of collective wisdom within each Coffee & Conversation forum.
  4. To provide continuous support from the facilitator and from other participants in your group. You are not abandoned at the end of the 4 weeks.

Coffee & Conversation is not outplacement. We do not write your resume. We do not practice interviewing skills. We do not do executive coaching. We do not provide you with an office to make phone calls.

We do supplement outplacement by guaranteeing that you will meet interesting peers who understand your profession; you will leave each two-hour session feeling intellectually stimulated, energized and motivated; when you receive job offers you will make your decision with both your head and your heart.
