1. Will participating in Coffee & Conversation find me a job?
Statistics support that a majority of executives that are in transition find their next job through networking. Coffee & Conversation promotes small group,
peer-to-peer networking while supporting long-term relationships. Great job leads and vetted connections come from these relationships.
2. How does Coffee & Conversation differ from other groups?
- Coffee & Conversation
forums are small to maximize
face-to-face interaction.
- We create affinity groups by bringing together executives who are in the same profession and are at a comparable compensation
level.
- Experienced facilitators keep the discussions focused.
- We’re interested in your personal career management.
- We emphasize the positive side of a job search — meeting new colleagues, forming trusted relationships, clarity around your
values and principles, etc.
- The facilitator will keep in touch with you. The end of
the forum is not the end of the relationship.
3. Why should I participate in Coffee & Conversation?
Coffee & Conversation guarantees you will meet leaders in your profession, get to know them on a personal level,
develop trusted relationships and refine
your personal career management.
4. In addition to networking and personal career management, what will I get out of these sessions?
Energy, Insights, Fresh Perspectives, Information, Knowledge, Job Leads, Vetted Connections, Fun and New Friends.
5. Why does a Coffee & Conversation
forum meet in-person?
Our agenda follows a structured process that begins with general information about your background and
then focuses, on a deeper
level, on what makes you unique.
It takes time for a group to really learn about each other and to develop relationships that will last.
6. Is Coffee & Conversation outplacement?
No. We do not provide workshops on how to write a resume or on interviewing skills. We do not provide an office for you to make phone calls. We do offer
the power of peer-to-peer small-group
networking and career management coaching.
7. Is Coffee & Conversation executive coaching?
No. We do not focus on individual problems, concerns or issues, but rather we help the group to get to know you as a holistic person.
8. Is Coffee & Conversation group therapy?
Definitely not!
